The UK has one of the largest and most innovative gaming markets in the world, illustrated by its impressive growth over recent years. Game development and publishing directly contributed £2.91bn in GVA to the UK economy in 2019, the largest contribution to the national economy on record, demonstrating the continued health of the sector (UKIE). The investment landscape for the sector is especially diverse, incorporating everything from sales of hardware and boxed games, to toys, events, merchandise, magazines and films.
